THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy
Ghost. ROMANS 8:14 KJV

The Kingdom of God (here on earth) is receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost!

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily
bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for
ever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13 KJV

Guys, one of the main things that JESUS is telling us here is this: pray to Him (the Father) for the Holy Ghost to be given!

When you get the Holy Ghost, not only do you get eternal life, but all these things shall be
added unto you. He’s also giving us a prophetic clue as to how to receive the “keys” to the Kingdom:

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the
gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the *keys* of the kingdom of
heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou
shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:18-19 KJV

The passage directly above where Peter is given the “keys” to the Kingdom is directly correlated
to our gospel, which reads as follows: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every
one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of
the Holy Ghost. ACTS 2:38 KJV

So He is offering you the gift of the deposit of His Kingdom in you (the Holy Ghost) so you can
live for Him and inherit eternal life! And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the
kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with
observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is
within you. Luke 17:20-21 King James Version (KJV)
